Gas milage, after boosting.

Gas milage, after boosting.

Well, durring my typical commute to college and back, it seems to me that im getting better gas milage now that im boosted....its not a placebo effect either, because i can see it on the fuel gauge.

It could be the supercharger or just that ive updated/put newer things into the car like new spark plugs, the CAI, a better exhaust.....

but my question is, is everyone who is boosted getting this same result or are they having negative MPG effects?

I woulda thought that id get horrible MPG since im boosted now...

mine got better when i boosted too! and not even just the highway, i got better mileage in the city and even when i drove it hard. i kept track of my mileage every single tank for almost 2 years before boosting, so i wasnt just seeing things! the worst mileage i ever got while being boosted was when i went to the dragstrip, and even then i was just over 20mpg :)
Go Camry Go!!!

mine's better....just drove up to RI for a wedding (still here now) and I only filled up 1.5 times! Only spent $70 bucks on gas driving 11 hours, pretty good.

better. Especially when I drive across country and just sit it in 5th gear at 80mph. Of course, at times it evens out because i have to mash the pedal for fun. But, that's what the s/c is for right?

hmmm...interesting...same here....gas mileage stayed exactly the same....but on that note, once boosted my car has run ass rich, so if that wasn't the case, I'd probably see better mileage as well....

But during the weeks where you REALLY play with it....then mileage kinda sucks =P

well king, i play with the car here and there, im not pushing it all the time, and when i do push it, im probably giving it 80% throttle....the most the car gets pushed usually is on the dyno! haha...i guess i baby it too much...

Man, yet another perk to boost. lol. Prob. the added response and torque means you dont need to wind the engine out as much so less load on the engine.
