Header install help...

Any advice on the rear header?
I'd really hate to have to remove the s/c.

I have neither.
I've got beer though!
Everything is off except the rear.
Last night I sprayed everything down with PB Buster.
God willing, tonight they come off.
Tomorrow slap the JPP's on. Can't wait!
My EvoII will be FS as soon as I can take pics.

From what I heard from JP is that you have to unbolt and "tip" the engine forward (after removing the SC) - nothing short of a PITA!

Another reason FWD cars with transverse engines can suck! (unless you've got an I4 that is)

You simply have to be patient and work it in. I didn't have to move the engine when I have done them, however getting it in there is kinda like one of those tricky puzzles. You have to put it in end first and twist it around. The front one is so simple you get spoiled, the difficulty of the rear makes up for the easy front install.

I couldn't figure out the puzzle.
I don't know if the Solara engine bay is larger, or I am an idiot.
So I tried....
and tried..
then I tried to remove the axle shaft from the trans.....I couldn't get the bearing out of the carrier (???) I'll deal with that in the near future.
After about 3 hours. I jacked up on the engine about 1 " was all I needed. I thought earlier "who would design a header that you would have to lift the engine to get in??
But it's all good and in there.
JPP headers are Extremely precise. No wiggle room at all. How did you guys tighten up the headers? I could only get a wrench in most spots and only a stubby in a few. But so far no leaks.
I finally finished at about midnight last night. I had to get it done because it's my daily driver. And the wife was coming back in town.
Sounds sweet!!!!!
I figured my CP-e was wired correctly because it runs, no cel light and nothing smoked.
Thanks for the input guys. Ya know if it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't be able to do all this. Thanks again.

Did you plugged it on your laptop already ?

One thing sure...don't run your laptop with low batteries while you tranferring data from laptop to CP-e module !! I mess once with it...my focking laptop batteries died...I was screw up. My car was litterally running like crazy...I've been afraid because I had to run about 2 miles back to home...I wasn't making my stop properly because when I was starting from a dead stop...it was pretty hard. I when back home and disconnected the battery of my car just to be sure it was resetted (even if it not reset the CP-e module). Also during the night I recharged my laptop batteries and I use my backup mapping to put it back to normal...I send the data in the module and it was running fine. Bottom line : if you can plug your laptop in the wall...go for it !!

If JPP headers GB goes up...I'll have to do the same...maybe not since Jeff has the '06 CP-e mapping and he will have to tune it !! Nice !!

Yes, I bought the tuneable CP-e from Sienna.
I just need to do a few other mods before I tune. TB Bore, 5.5 pulley and maybe 310cc injectors. (not really sure that I need these)
I also don't have a laptop as of yet.
I just sold some old parts and might sell some others to buy the laptop.
The map is ok but hesitates at times.
I'm just glad I was able to figure out the wiring, because the guy at CP-e just said "good luck" and "well we never ran it on one of those so i'm not too sure about it".
I thought he might be of more help to broaden the market for his intake.
But all is good runs well. It's just not dialed in.
I can't wait to see the numbers.
