Its not hard but its not really worth it considering you have worn down parts. It will cost you more in the end like fuel stuff, sensors, ETCs. But 149000 miles are nothing.

I disagree. I say, what do you have to lose? Plus you can't have it both ways, either 149K isn't much or it is. If it is, then what do you have to lose. If it isn't, then what's the difference between doing it now or having done it earlier. The engine's in great shape no matter.

My wife's Solara is a 1999 with 180K and I'm just about to supercharge it.

I am however, doing quite a few other things to it before hand. You can check it out here:

Good luck either way.

^^^ I like your philosophy.

Look at Burt Munro (The World's Fastest Indian)

That old dude kept rebuilding the SAME OLD ANCIENT Indian motorcycle he bought like 50 years earlier... and STILL succeeded in setting a Bonneville Salt Flats record over 200mph.

Build it... and DEAL with it.

werd

I supercharged my gen3 at 267,000 km and it's still running strong (knock on wood)

tranny swap in the next month or so, and if the engine goes, a new one gets dropped in
HaHa
