I will be working on plumbing my new sc system as soon as it gets back from paint, and i hope to have all the pipes, couplers, etc ready by then...

My question is this. I have no experience firsthand with intercooling and was wondering if there was a downside to larger pipes such as "supercharger lag" or anything like that? I would like to use the biggest pipe possible which would allow boost to pass more freely at 20psi but at a lower boost setting will it cause lag? It seems like it would having to fill up the larger pipes and ic before entering the engine Also im thinking of leaving the trd charger on with the stock 3.5psi pulley that really only showed 2.5. At least im gonna try it this way, the baby supercharger might cause a restriction tho, in which case i will probably fab a nice intake manifold.

well... How do you think that you are going to run pipes for an IC if its a roots blower? Are you going to try to run a centrifical supercharger?

The larger the intercooler/pipes, the more volume and less pressure... all depends on how much boost you think you want to try running

Yes the novi is a centrifugial type. It is capable of sustaining almost 30 psi on a mustang...so i think its gonna be great on my built 1mz. i would like a low boost 18psi and high like 35 or so. I will be running a return style fuel system and tec3r engine management, injectors, all that. I am trying to make the highest whp possible. I have a spare 1mz and all that shi.
