Maint light: When does it turn off?

Maint light: When does it turn off?

I'm sure I can refer to my manual , which I probably will do tonight. I figured, if I have a question, I'm sure many others have the same question. My Maint light on the dash blinks on and off for about 30 seconds when I start my car. The car hit 4500 miles, so I'm sure it's reminding me that I need an oil change withing 500 mileso. What the car doesn't know is it had an oil change a few hundred miles ago. Will this disappear on it's own?

NO, you need to reset it by holding pressing the mileage stick down while starting the car and the light should go away.
