I manage the Toyota account for our company in which Toyota gave us the contract for the tC Sport Exhaust. Last April, we had a prototype tC brought to our test track for acoustic testing and I can say that it is well worth the money.
They will be a few available at dealers in July, but for the most part, they will be hard to find till fall. (Expect lots of pre-orders)
Sometime later this year, TRD will have a supercharger available, but my understanding is that it is behind schedule.
As for the exhaust, it gets rid of the huge transverse 409 stainless steel can (non-polished) which has a inlet going into the side of the muffler body and an outlet on the passenger side of the muffler.
The TRD replacement is completely 304 Stainless steel which is hand polished. The muffler can is completely welded instead of mechanically spun. The muffler body is about half the size of the OE. From the rear of the car, you can see the inlet pipe kick over to the driver's side and into the muffler and the outlet pipe going to the pass side. The tip is dual wall 304 stainless with perforations inside and glass wool to reduce the air rush noise on acceleration. The tip has the TRD logo stamped into the metal instead of a thin laser etching that is hard to see after discoloration.
Jeeze, sorry for the long description. I've had a lot of fun working on this project and visiting Southern California to work with Toyota.
The fit and finish of the car is outstanding. The interior sun shade seemed a little flimsy, but that could be because it was a prototype car.
Get the TRD Cold Air Intake made by AEM. Combined with the exhaust, the sound on full acceleration will make Hondas sound like Kazoos in a coffee can.
I'm new to this forum, so if I can figure how to post pics, I will.[/img]
