The valet thought it was a Lexus!

The valet thought it was a Lexus!

Postby mtodde » Sun Jun 13, 2004 3:31 pm

A funny thing happened last night. I went out to eat at one of Atlanta's better eateries, The Blue Ridge Grill for those of us in Atlanta, and when we went to leave there was a bit of a traffic jam at the valet booth. No one was claiming the silver Lexus coupe so the valet area got quite backed up. After a few minutes I heard the valet parkers asking everyone if they were in a silver Lexus coupe. Five minutes went by and they started asking if anyone had a silver Toyota which was my Solara. I thought it was pretty funny and my parents wondered if the valet parker was looking for a big tip, but I had already tipped them when I gave them the claim check.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Guess this is proof that the Solara is a baby/mini SC430!

it should be the other way around since the Solara is bigger than the SC430.

As for mistaking my Solara for a Lexus, never happened....been mistaken for a CAMRY and ACCORD though.

It wouldn't surprise me if the next-gen Camry XLE has more of a Lexus appeal to it. We all know the Avalon is due for a change next year.

It'll be interesting to see.
