Overheating problems with the cd player?

Overheating problems with the cd player?

Recently in the past 2-3 weeks I've been having some major problems with my stock unit. I commute about an hour to work everyday with the cd player cranked almost all the way up, and I've noticed that on hot days my cd player will "stall". Here's an example. If I play a cd constantly for an hour and eject it, when I go to put in another one it spits it out for some reason and gives me an "error 3" on my LCD. If I wait about 15-30 minutes later, it plays normally. But if I play that cd for about 15-30 minutes more and eject it, the whole process repeats! The only remedy I've found is that I turn the Ac on full blast and position the 2 vents above the player down to cool it. I haven't had time to go to the dealer, but I'm pretty sure it's covered under my warranty. Has this happened to any of you yet?

No, but you may want to think a 6 disc stock changer in the dash. Very nice to have and you don't have to fiddle with CDs. It's like a juke box for you dash to allow more room in your car for other things besides CDs scattered all over. Its also so much safer, since you won't be cahnging cds while driving since they are alraedy in there. Ask your dealership how much that would run you. It may be a nice and practical upgrade, plus should eliminate that problem you have. Just a thought. 8)
