Well im not sure if anyone has ever had this problem or if this is going to make sense, but this morning on the way home from work i realized my tachometer didnt seem right. When the car was at idle, the needle was on "0", although the car idling and running fine. The needle always seemed to be "1" off or below the true number (example...if the car normally idles around 1 it was at 0, when i was driving and it was supposed to be at 2 or 3 it was at 1 or 2) When you floor this car the redline is around 6.5, but mine was kicking i just a little over 5. To make this really long story short...when i shut the car off i saw that the needle was well under "0". Just so there isnt any confusion, its not my motor thats running different...for some reason the Tac needle "fell?" 1 number below where its supposed to be. Any help or suggestions????

For custom tach's like the one used for racing cars there is a screw on the back to set the neddle at 0. Don't know if its the same for OEM it's just a though; but take it to the dealer they will check and repair.(hope so...)

Problem fixed! :D I decided myself to take out the gauge cluster and see if i could do anything myself. So i took it out (which was the easiest thing ive done in my life), took the plastic shield off the gauges and moved the needle back to zero where it belongs (because when it shouldve been on '0' it was pointing almost straight down :-? ). Test drove, and everything is back to normal. Hmm...that was a little too easy! 8) 10 minutes total fix time. This is why i hate going to the dealer for sh*t i can do myself.
