Newbie question

Hi Guys and Gals,
just a stupid question from a newbie,
I am looking to buy a Solara 2004 or 2005 SE Sport V6 and want to put some performance mods on it, anyone has an idea how much of a budget do i need or if i am missing some critical pieces here.

Desired mods:
Cold Air Intake
Supercharger (when it comes out)
Flow through dual exhaust
improved fuel pump and fuel lines.

am i missing some major components?
have anyone heard about possibly adding a standalone fuel management system and or NOS/Fuel injectors to replace the stock ones (I know i probably would need to wait till i can get custom pistons and/or headers for that but just a thought)

thanks in advance

Kurt

well its hard to say on most of those mods, since most of its not available yet. the s/c will probably be $2500-$3000, about avg for trd s/c. the dual exhaust, i have yet to see a premade one, so it'll be a full custom job, so it depends on where you go ( matter of fact the only premade system i've even seen is a Cat-Back and mufler made by Apex and its about $390 ). cold air intakes, noone makes one right now, but theres plenty of "high proformance" filters for $50 (k&n trd etc...). in but more then likely depending on the quality of the intake it'll be between $120-$250 (or an ebay special for $19 but you might as well just stick a pvc pipe on you engine with a rig fitted to the end with a rubber band). and then fuel pump and lines, i havent seen anything specificly made for this car but i'm sure a custom shop can retro fit a different one and it'll proform all the same. usually all the parts run about: injecters $65, pump $180, and chip $300.

anywho... the one major thing you're missing is the strut and sway bars and the springs if u have the dealer do the trd part it'll probably run about $600 (thats wut i'm guessing) i drove a I4 se with the trd springs, trd strut and trd sway bars, trd muffler and bbs 18s. its handled better then almost anycar i've ever driven (dealler had a car dressed up to sell as "demo" since it only had 2500 miles on it).
silver 2004 Solara SE V6 Sport
custom 2 tone leather seats
max legal tint driver/pass windows, 10% more everywhere else
infiniti 6x9s and pair of alpine 12s on a mtx amp
metal floor mats
billet undergrille

I've seen the TRD Solara but i says that it's a 'custom' exhaust, nothing like that is available at their website, but i guess somone would come up with a dual one sometime soon.

by the way, have anyone seen or heard of a solara with a NOS kit? is it even possible or is it going to blow the engine given the compression that's in place already?

i dunno about the other stuff.. but i was talking to my dealer about the supercharger.. though they didn't have a catalog about the increase in either hp or torque, they say it should be coming out beginning of next year and the price will be around $3,200. hope that helps with your budget
