04 SE Sport but no Sport Pedals

Postby 04solarafanatic » Fri May 14, 2004 1:28 pm

HI, does anyone know why I didn't get the Sport Pedals?

I have a ruber accelrator and a metal(bare) brake.

This is not a DEMO but a brand new one...I just got took the car home last night and noticed that the aluminums sport covers are not there.

I called the stinking Dealer but he not calling me back...I had him on the phone this morning and he put me on hold and never came back.

Is there a Toyota Cust Serv # that I can call..This is total BS(sorry)

Any help would be great...thanks alot!

First off, are you sure you have the SE Sport? Your car should have the 6 piece ground effects, tip-tronic transmission, strut tower brace over the engine, charcoal seats with checkered pattern, 17- inch 5 spoke wheels, instrument cluster with chrome surrounding the speedo and tach, carbon fiber-like accent panels, sport tuned suspension, sunroof, and I believe that is all (except for the pedals of course.)

Anyway, if you have these parts and no sport pedals, Toyota should be able to just put them on for you. They are from OBX. Just call, they shouldn't give you any problems.

Yeah its a SE Sport....I have the kit and the whole shabang.....Thanks...

I called again and left a message. This is a pain.

I just went on the toyota website that on the SE SPORT these are standard. The SLE just has rubber ones.

I mean standard stuff should come with it... I shouldn't have to do research to dig it up.

Well lets seee how well Toyota takes care of this...So far I am very disappointed.(not with the car.....the DEALER)

Has anyone else had missing items?

Your pedals were removed, that's all, I bought mine off Ebay, an OBX pedals for Solara 2004, when you install them that's exactly what you see, the accelerator pedal won't com eoff, so it stays with teh rubber on eon it, you just put the OBX over it, the Brake pedal can be remove, so you will have th emetal (Plain pedal).

What I'm seeing here is that Toyota are using same pedals on SE as part of their package. I was lucky to get mine, I haven't seen them again on Ebay, I've been looking for a couple of weeks now, even with same vendor that after my purchase, is no longer an Ebay user. Hey, maybe your Dealer are just dooing what I described above, pulling off the pedals and sell them on Ebay. Maybe yours are the ones I bought...

Take a look at them on the pictures on my Signature.

I'd personally go back to the dealer and get it taken care of. Obviously, calling them will only get you the run around.

Why didn't you notice this when you picked your car up? I mean they are supposed to give you a run down of the vehicles features, controls etc. I would have definitley noticed this upon taking delivery of my car.

I didn't get any run down of the features of anything....they just brought the car over and I did a walk around but I completely forgot to check the pedals...its the last thing I noticed....if I noticed it there..I would have definitely made a fuss over it.

The guy who bought them on ebay....I get what you are saying but this is standard equip that should have already come with the car...I already shelled out enough $$ for the car...so...I just feel if I paid for it..I should have gotten it.

Maybe you can send my pedals back to me...LOL

Thanks for all your replies guys...I'll bug the stupid dealer again tommorw....if not Im calling my Credit Card and telling them to take care of this problem..they are usually good about this.
