how much is solaraSE sports v6?

how much is solaraSE sports v6?

Postby Turbosolara » Mon Feb 02, 2004 12:28 am

My girlfriend is buying a 04 solara SE v6 sports. A dealer offer her 24000 out of door, i am wondering if that is a good deal.

i went to my local dealer, they quoted me invoice plus 1000 dollars, and add tax and license. but in my mind, i would always think to buy a car out of sticker price would be a reasonable price. (i brought my solara for $500 under sticker price out of door in year 2000).

any input welcome

Kelley Blue Book says the SE Sport V6 with no options cost $23,460 before sales tax. I don't know California's sales tax rate but that deal of $24K doesn't sound like that much of a discount if you have no options. A deal of $23K out the door would be much better. KBB says the invoice price before tax is $21,164 with no options.

Apparently things are much different in the midwest - $24,000 doesn't sound like a good deal to me. I paid $22,900 (about $100 under dealer invoice) plus tax. Worked out to nearly $2,000 under sticker. That includes moonroof with wind deflector, 6 disc changer, 3 oil changes. Actually had an offer from a different dealer to go $500 under invoice, but he didn't have a black one with the options I wanted.

Try approaching a different dealer with an offer of $1,000 under sticker...

I also live in the midwest and wouldn't think of spending a dollar more than invoice price.

I saw a Solara in black and it sure is hot but tough to keep clean I'm sure. Got any pics to post of your black beauty? So far we only have a few colors of posted pics.

I got a Black SE sport V6 with moonroof, JBL 6 speaker, (22,600) had them put in leather seats, for 1,400. (24,000 total) with 2.9% financing in nor cal. Hard to keep clean, but when its clean, its pretty sharp 8)

Slingshot,

I think it's rained or snowed every day since I brought the car home! When it clears up I'll take some pics and post them.

Yea, it's impossible to keep black cars clean, but when they're just waxed, they look sexy as hell.
