Well, since the celica is being killed by Toyota USA :evilbat: I now know what will replace it...that thing! Geesh, and the top HP is close to higher 150's for a 4 banger! Unless the supercharger thing is a reality, that doesn't look like a nice replacement for the 2zzfe celica! (externally ok, but motor wise..... ) With a price tag that will be cose to $20K, that thing is an expensive Scion, I'd much rather have a GTS celica M/t for a bit more than the TC. But thats' just my personal taste...

In the GEN1/1.5 forum, they think that there will be enough room to mount the supercharger in there to really pump up that motor's power. We'll have to see.

i read they can bump it up to 200 at a "reasonalble" eye popping price
the mag that i read it in was very business oriented and they didnt predict the life of the car to last.

they also said echo didnt match forcast pricing and went on about avalons decrease in sales wich is sorta a gimme as its being rebuilt for this year as well and the old 1 was just old and why buy avalon when u can get a lexus? as so many people sem to say.

The Avalon is quite a bit cheaper than the Lexus that's why people were buying Avalon's. And it has a great big back seat and very cool, futuristic dash.

The sheet metal is very promising! (read: BMW 7/5 rip-off?)
Engine is so-so, from Camry's 2.4L I4.
Tranny will likely be 5MT & 4AT (a la Camry I4)
Standard 17" wheels & dual moon-roofs

Not too shabby, but not bad at all - for $17K (est.)

ugly Pioneer headunit (at least matching color with dash, duh!)

I was drooling over this since last year... but then I found out it was designed and built here... just like its brother, Solara.

Both Scion xA and xB have proven themselves back in Japan for years now,
But this tC... I will wait and see.

I'm not gonna buy another car that wouldn't drive STR8!
