How can I file a complain to the Toyota on salesman?

How can I file a complain to the Toyota on salesman?

Postby NewSolaraGuy » Wed Jan 07, 2004 9:13 pm

I bought the 2004 Solara in late Oct 2003. The salesman promised me to give me two years auto care and a set of carpet. It has been two months already and nothing was received. The salesman keeps ignore me. He did sign a "we owe" receipt. I feel like cheated by the salesman. Indeed, they are rude during the transaction. The financial manger didn't have any patient to explain to me the terms of the contract. What can I do? Does anyone know the Toyota North America regional office phone number or email? How can I file a complain?

Take the "We Owe" slip with you to the dealer and stand in front of the head person (dealer manager? Sorry, I do not know the job positions at a dealer beyond sales manager). Do not leave until you are satisfied.

It is too easy to ignore a person through electronic (including phones) communication. Make "in-person" contact.

A good friend of mine was a salesmen for Toyota in Roseville. He told me he saw the manager fire somone because he lied to a customer. Toyota dealerships take these things very seriously. If you go to the dealership just ask to talk to the sales manager and I am sure he will make things right, just be nice about it, you can propbally get the salesman fired so, if he blatenly lied to your face that is all you have to say.
If it was me I would go tell the salesman first that if he does not get the shithe promised you then you will tell his manager that he lied to you. If that does not work ask to talk to the Finance Manager, since he is likely the only one who has a college eduaction and is not a salesmen. I bet if you just say "I am going to post the way you treated me on SOLARAGUY.com and all other toyota related sites" the dealership will crumble and give in for fear of you giving their store a bad rep. I do it all the time.

if you write an email to the office of the dealership (not sales manager, not service manager, but office of the dealership (the head of the dealer) they will get you what was supposed to be given to you and have a good talk w/ the salesperson that dealt with you.

trust me. i did this when the s/c was installed. but thats a diff story.

goodluck

The sale person didn't take this seriously. He did call me two times today but he insisted I went to the dealer to clear things up. I don't understand why he wants me to go there. They only need to file my paper for the two years auto care program. They have all the paper works. I found out that they didn't file the paper works from Toyota (1800 331 4331) early today. The salesperson and the financial manger just pushed the ball around. I lose all my patient now. I will complain about this. Should I write a letter or call Toyota?
BTW, the dealer is Koons Toyota in Vienna Virginia.

Definitely! That's the # for toyota headquarters/customer assistance. If the service manager is not being helpful at the dealer, I'd call that 1-800#. I talk to them all the time in work through toyota roadside and they're usually very kind and helpful :)

If a customer calls toyota roadside w/ any problems non-related to roadside, we normally refer them to the dealer first. When the dealer is being an a$$ though, we give out that 1-800# for any dealer complaints/warranty issues.
