Has replacing the tires helped with the left pull problem?
jmack,
I bought a set of Michelin Pilot A/S tires for my SLE. As I'm sure you know, Michelin doesn't make the factory size, so I got 225/55-17. The tires fit, but they are
EXTREMELY close (credit card thickness) to hitting the strut assembly. In fact, I'm noticing a groove is beginning to wear on the tires. I'm in negotiations with the tire place now. He has ordered 225/50-17 Michelins to replace the ones I'm running now. I'm glad you are using the Miata site. I've used it, too. The 50 series tires should give me almost an extra inch (half inch near the strut) off the overall diameter. I'm not sure how 235/50 will work. But I'd make it perfectly clear to your dealer or tire shop that you want a full refund or full credit if the tires don't fit properly. It seems to me that if you want Michelin Pilot A/S tires, 225/50-17s are the size to get. Like Slingshot suggested, I posted some info on this topic on a different thread. You may want to do a search. I also have a picture of the tire and how close it comes to the strut assembly at this link:

Good luck. PM or post any questions you might have. I'm by no means a tire or car expert, but I'll do my best.
Good memory, Slingshot!
