What's the best cleaner to use to clean insect hits?

To clean off insect hits on the front of the car without washing the car, what is the best thing to use? So far, I used Windex multisurface kitchen and glass and it seemed to work. I'm not sure if it took off some wax though. What is everyone using for insects or tar?

There are a number of good products out there. You should never use Windex because it contains ammonia which will ruin the finish. I've used Showtime, and Final Inspection with good results.

Since I got my clear bra I haven't had to worry about getting bug guts off my bumper. Seems they just wipe off with my regular car cleaner. Anyways, I do remember using a product called "Splat" that worked exceptionally well.

I use a good car wax and a soft sponge everytime I spot clean bug remains. Having a good wax build up helps prevent damage from bug acid. Looking forward to a good bug killing frost :) .

And what do you put on the sponge? I just ordered Mother's bug, bird, and tar wipes.
