Anyone get aluminum sport pedals as an add-on yet for SLE?

I would love to get the same sport pedals as the SE Sport has for my SLE but I've been told it isn't available yet. Has anyone else heard differently and if you did get it, did they install it for you? If you had to install yourself, how difficult was it?

The pedals are just covers that slip on and are easy to install. The only bad thing about the OBX pedals on the sport is they get dirty easy and the brushed white silver finish marks easy from cleaning. OBX racing offers alot of other pedals that should work and they come in different finishes. I think chrome finish might work better for cleaning. http://www.obxracingsports.com/interior.cfm?catID=4&subcatID=5

Thanks for the link. How do you know those pedals would even fit the Solara's pedals? And can you even put a cover on the left footrest?

You may want to PM JadedEMOlush. He has them installed on his Solara. He's also got a picture.

NOt really... but they are all dirty now... I hope they clean up well. So far it has not caused a driving hazard... if it does I will be taking them off immediatly.

Can anyone who has the SE SPort pedals comment on if they get dirty easily and/or get slippery?

Slippery no.

Dirty? Depends on where your right shoe has been... :) It's easy to clean anyway.

But as for an aftermarket pedal, it's the best looking one because it fits snugly onto the pedals.

Are you talking about the SE Sport ones or the ones pictured in this thread? Confusing because you seemed to answer me yet referred to them as aftermarket pedals. The aftermarket pedals shown here don't look like they fit that snugly and look bigger than the black rubber stock ones. The Toyota ones on the SE Sport look to me to fit much snugger and better and look better.

I have those on my 02 SE. Just about any clip on pedal works on your Solara. Those on the pics could get slippery when wet but they do have "hedges" that makes your shoes stick to them so slipping isnt a problem.

I was referring to the Toyota SE Sport ones.

The finish on the SE Sport pedals are almost impossible to clean. I can't get the dirt off even with a wheel cleaner that gets off the toughest grime on the wheels. Anyone have suggesstions for these pedals?
