after 3 fill ups the 1st was 20 kms off the range indicator the 2nd and 3rd were 40 kms off so i filled up with premium this time

the 1st was done by toyota the 2nd 3rd i did myself with regular

anyway the 4th fill was bang right on withthe range i think this car is a premium fuel car

( heres the beast in my drive)

I think the range has nothing to do with the fuel grade, it calculates based on actual data...
and since you are in break-in period it is normal to be off

well, whatever you decide to fill it with, just stick with it, changing isnt very good fer the engine

Good question! I'm not trying to be a jerk, but why not change between premium when it's cheap and regular when prices are high. I know absolutely nothing about cars except where the steering wheel is, so please help me out with this fuel question. I genuinely want to know the answer, too.

I've heard that one too. I've also heard about sticking with the same brand of gasoline as well. Of course, you don't have to stick with any of these principles religiously, but I heard it's just more "fuel" efficient for the car.

I stick to Chevron only now except when I'm out of town and can't find it
