Well guys i just find out that my alarm wont go off when the doors are locked and you try to open the doors. So i did step out side the car roll the window and close the doors with the remote, ok doors lock but when you try to open you wont hear any thing going off .. i tryied this with the hood to because i remember when i got the car went off on me. Any suggestions what could it happen ?? the last think that ive done to work was installing the hids and removing the battery, does that effects on the alarm?.

Also when you press the panic alarm will go off.

Thanx for the help.

If you've heard it go off before, then you must be doing something wrong. Make sure that when you're trying the system out....BOTH doors, hood, and trunk are all CLOSED. Put the key in the door, and lock the car. Wait a full 40 seconds before opening the door. IF you open the door too early, the alarm wont go off...it takes about 40 seconds or so for it to become active after you lock it.

Yeah if the panic button still works i doubt theres a wiring problem. also... you might want to try popping the hood (leave the latch still hooked tho) lock the car, wait a min and then try to open the hood via the hood latch... this always sets my alarm off...

to me it sounds like you just have a keyless entry , no actual alarm system, same thing my gen 2 has i can roll the window down lock the car stick my hand in unlock it and open the door and nothing happens.

The blinking security light you see on the left of your steering wheel is only the engine IMMOBILIZER, not the ALARM. I blame the confusion on the manual because quite a few members and I have read the manual and assumed it was standard on all Gen 2s--it was only an option. Hell, I kept trying that "test procedure" for a damn week before I realized I didn't have an alarm but only the immobilizer.
