muffler or resonator

muffler or resonator

Postby lightguypro » Wed Jan 28, 2009 7:14 pm

Hello, newbie here..had a question...just got a magnaflow muffler and was thinking of putting it on but dont know where. Now I would like a mild deep tone but not really loud. noticed behind the cat looks like a resonator then at the end of the car is the muffler..is this correct?

If i kept the resonator and put the magnaflow at the stock muffler location what will it sound like. I know theres gonna be some drone but I dont want it to be too loud so thats why im thinking of leaving the resonator if thats what it is?

thanks sorry for the long post just had to explain it.

i got the 6 clynder too btw

It may sound raspy if you remove the resonator and probably won't be much louder. I had the stock resonator removed when I had my magnaflow and ended up putting an aftermarket one back on to cut down on the raspiness.
