Merry Christmas!!! And then a Question.

First of all merry christmas!!! its also my bday so im pretty happy.

The question i had is: what do u call the 2 pieces of plastic they stick underneath the bumper area to prevent water and mud getting near the engine bay?

Mine were bent due to my backing out of heavy snow on the ground, and i have since taken them off to stop them from hitting the ground. i have not yet driven in this bad weather with those guards off, is it safe to drive in relatively dry condition if at all?

thx in advance guys.

I just call them splash guards. I wouldn't drive without them for any reason, though; I wouldn't want water/rocks/whatever flying into the engine bay.

I'm probably being overly cautious, but better safe than sorry, right?

Ive also hear them called splash shields. I had to buy some a few months ago to replace my original ones when I had my wreck. They also connect to the front bumper, so be carefull when driving. Infact I wouldnt drive at all without them.
