Crusing RPM readings and gas mileage

Postby psolara04 » Wed Jul 30, 2008 12:46 pm

I was recently cruising on the highway and i thought that the car was running a little loud. I wrote down on a napkin the following...

Speeds and Tachometer Readings (sorry for you americans)
100 km/h --- 2000 rpms
110 km/h --- 2100 rpms
120 km/h --- 2400 rpms
130 km/h --- 2600 rpms

I am driving the V6. This is probably normal, but i just wanted some more feedback.

those are ok I always said that our cars need a 5th gear in us automatic cruising at 80 it makes to waste a lot of fuel youl gett better gas milage at 60MPH (96.56kmh) and the revs should be like 2000RPM
