Loose steering

Hi guys, i have a problem with my solara..
I kinda drove over a curb and now my steering on the right side is kinda loose
it feels weird, do you know what i can do to correct the problem?

Get your alignment done and they'll tell you if anything's busted/bent. But before that make sure the tire is properly inflated.

Not sure if it's a national deal any longer but our old Firestone kept the old alignment deal. Lifetime alignment for $120. You can bring it in every 3 months or 3k miles. pays for itself. (I've had 6 cars on that plan)

lol guys i am also suspecting that my auto tranny wants to die

lately its really really jerky into shifts n crap, not sure if i just need a tranny fluid change or something but I'm going to get that done

This could also be a CV joint issue. "Herky-jerky" shifting or "on/off" throttle and "looseness" on the right side... could spell worn/damaged CV joint bearings. (I don't know the specific design/construction of ours specifically, but it COULD be related...)

Does the vehicle "grind" or "tick" when turning sharply at slow speed? (Right/left SLOW slalom may exhibit this...)

How many miles on the car? Is the CV joint boot damaged or soiled?

^^^ I am also thinking you may have damaged LINKAGE under there... DON'T drive this car until you have it checked out!!!

no ticking or grinding... screw
the car has under 70k miles on it, so it might really be a worn out part,
how much do you think it'll cost me to replace them?
better yet, should i still jsut take it in for an alignment and see if they can fix the problem there, or this is dealership only type work?

^^ I wouldn't trust that kind of repair to a freakin' DEALERSHIT!!

Go to a reputable place like Firestone - they deal with this kind of thing all the time. I bought a lifetime alignment from them about a year and a half ago - free alignment tweaks whenever I want and they are good about replacing worn or messed up parts only as necessary. :up:

fashion-central-united-kingdom man, this car is nothing but problems i think
something big might be wrong cuz
everytime i start it up right, it feels like the engine is sputtering or the engine is shaking. can this be related to the tranny or CV jerking thing

Maybe a busted motor mount.

They do go out and maybe even hitting the curb could have done something.
