What gas should you put in a 2az-fe for max performance?

Does the octane of gas really matter?

The prices of gas don't bother me (i live in so cal too) *if you can't afford gas then don't drive*

which gas offers the best performance?

I will be going to split sec this Monday and i need to know if gas really makes a difference in performance.

compression ratio on the 2AZ-FE is 9.6:1, so using 91 octane won't benefit you.

using anything higher than 87 octane won't make your 2AZ faster.

87 for max performance on 2AZ. Any higher is just burning more cash.

Run whatever your owners manual recommends. There's no performance increase to be had by burning higher octane fuel. Actually you can see a performance and fuel mileage 'decrease' burning higher octane fuel if the car doesn't need it.

Cheers

87 octane! Our cars, even with your level of modifications, do not extract any noticeable benefit out of higher octane gasoline. Turbo or high compression 2AZ-FE is another story.

I run high compression on 87 theres no gain for me with higher octane and to tell you the truth iI dont find my 2az likes 91 octane and at $1.40 liter they can keep it
