Does every Solara have curtain airbags?

Does every Solara have curtain airbags?

I have '04 Solara SE with no options. When guys, who installed music to my car opened side panel they found only metal holder for the curtain airbag, but no airbag. So, did it explode in some accident in the USA or it wasn't there from the factory?

My VIN is 4T1CE38P25U970705

driver airbag ? passenger airbag ?? lateral curtains ??

I think driver air bag is on all Gen 2 Solara...for the rest I'm not sure...but it make no sense to not have airbags in front row of a car nowsadays. did you get the owner's manual ?? I suggest you to read about it or to seek thru google the info.

I mean the srs curtain shield airbags, which are under the roof, starting from the windshield, I don't have them and I want to know if my car came without them from the factory or loosed it in some accident.

I have an 04' se sport with all the sport options except the v6, it has side impact airbags on both drivers and passenger seats, dual front airbags in dash and steering wheel but no side curtain airbags. The side curtain airbags are an optional thing more commonly found on the sle model, if you have just a base model se then it wouldnt have come with side curtain airbags from the factory.

If i remember correctly, the 04 didn't have optional curtain airbacks, the side impact ones are inside the seats. When i stripped apart my car (see tutorials) the only place it could be would be in the a pillar, and it would be labled SRS (which mine isn't) I think they only started offering them on 06 and up.

Side curtain airbags were only an option for ALL models that year.

As a side note, did you know that the spoiler was actually an option for a few years for the SE and SLE, but standard on the SE Sport? So if you have a spoiler on your trunk you officially have an option.

OMG, I have a spoiler and now I'm very proud of it! ABS is an option too, isn't it? :)
