Where to find a gen2 front bumper cheap?

Where to find a gen2 front bumper cheap?

Postby RDKamikaze » Thu Feb 28, 2008 12:32 am

Hey, my roommate just backed into my car this morning and his hitch left a nice square on my front bumper. Good thing he's a successful lawyer and can afford to fix it! But we're looking for a good place to get a bumper, hopefully already colored lunar mist metallic. If not pre-painted, then a primer one would be fine. We don't need the absorber or anything, just the front cover. I'll post pics up when I can get some tomorrow.

Thanks for your help!

So if he damaged your car, why do you have to find the cheapest bumper around? Do it right, don't get some used bumper and paint over it.

You're not even his client and this lawyer is already screwing you?

You'd get the best deal (moneywise) at an auto wreckers and a nationwide search is really easy on the Internet. The biggest problem will be getting an exact color match since your car might have faded more or less than another over the years.

Considering your (justifiable) pride in your car your best overall option is to let his insurance company buy a new bumper, pay for the color matched paint and installation.

Cheers

Then you'd better wear a helmet so he can't bite the ears.

Just a question: If he's such a "successful" lawyer, why does he need a roommate?

lol.

Just start calling around to different body shops, and ask them who they get their parts from. Not everyone will tell you, but some of them might.
