Stock talk about the Generation 2 and 2.5 Toyota Solara which was released in 2004-2007

A few newbie questions.

A few newbie questions.

1. What material is used for the Solara's Exhaust Manifold and Exhaust System?

2. Do 4 Cylinders come with 5 Speed Sport Shifting Autos?

3. How much power can the Solara transmissions handle?

1. ?

2. The 2005+ models come with the sport shift

3. So far it's been able to handle the gains of a tuneable intake, headers, and y-pipe, and aftermarket exhausts (granted if they do give gains). However, the solara transmissions is a less-than-ideal platform to tune due to its sloppy shifting, intermittent lag, and slow response.

It looks like it's your first time posting so don't forget introduce yourself so the community can better help (or tease) you for the answers you're looking for

By material, is it cast iron, stainless steel, etc.

I'd like to introduce myself but there's not much to do. I don't have a Solara yet :)

Wrong and correct.

Toyota does not use cast iron manifolds. They always use fabricated manifolds made from low titanium 425 or 439 stainless steel.

The exhaust is t1.5 439 stainless steel up to the converter. After the converter they use t1.2 409 stainless. The muffler is 439 on the exterior of the body and 409 on the internals.
