Ok Im driving home from work today and I was at a light when it turned green I decided to gun it to see how good the car would corner as I turned onto another road. About 10 seconds after gunning the car I get this S T R O N G Sulfur smell. I know it wasnt the area cause everything around me was farmland. Then I recalled another time a couple weeks back that this happened and I thought it was nothing about it, thinking it was just the location I was in. Doing a search on here I came across a post from 2004 and 2005. Some had posted that it might be the gas that was used or the cat converter. My question is this, has anyone with a 2006/2007 having the same problem? Reading the other postings that the dealership wont doing anything about it. Is there anything that I can do since the CEL/MIL (check engine light/malfunction indicator light) is not on, then they will just recommend me to try a different brand of fuel. So Im just S O L?

I know my friend who bought a TL had the same issue when it was new - sulfur smell when gunning it.

Its since gone away. I think it was the cat breaking in.

it is the cat breaking in.. on a lot of new cars it's like that.
some dealerships recommend you do that to "break in" the car.. at least the dealership I work at does.. lol

My car still gets it when I gunn it sometimes. Still, there was a recall for it (at least on 2005 model)?

I'll tell you what they told me.. " Don't use Shell or Chevron.. . they're too acidic for the cat. (Bulls.hit)" but then again, this is for a 99 5s.
