I love the Gen 2!

I love the Gen 2!

Postby Nyyankees3511 » Mon Jun 18, 2007 7:38 pm

Well today I drove a Gen 2 SLE V6 with navi and all for around 55 miles if not more. I was really surprised and now im feeling jealous lol. The Gen 2 is a much faster car especially on the highway. The transmission is definitely smoother. Its quieter than my car and it gets awesome gas mileage. I got an average of 33 mpg if i recall correctly. The only thing i noticed which isnt to big of a deal is the slight delay of when you hit the gas and when the car finally reacts. This is probably due to the electronic throttle while my car uses the direct cable instead. Did i mention the handling, the thing handles much better than my gen 1 and i have a trd rsb really makes me think lol. The only thing i noticed was some thumping on the right side either the rear or front im not sure. Its a 2005 are there any tsbs applicable to this car like tranny ecu updates etc. Anyways i wanted to say that this is one car i would love to own. Its definitely a step up from the gen 1.

well that's why it's the gen2 lol. every new "gen" should have it's improvements..

err.. just my opinion anyways..I still love my gen 1, I think it's in a class of it's own :)

I much prefer the look of the Gen2, but have to say I have never driven a Gen1 to know any difference.

Go for it, and get a 2.5... :D

I think the Gen1 looks nice, but the Gen2 is very Lexus like. I think every part of it looks great, and so many people comment on how nice it looks.

The Gen1 looks plain to me...looks like an Acura, and I don't like the way Acura's look

Trust me lol, id trade my car in a heart beat to have the gen 2. It looks great to me. The rear of the gen 1 may look better but the interior and front of the gen 2 look better than the gen 1.

Yeah, I love my gen2! All my friends keep telling me it looks like a Lexus, too. There's a line for people to ride with, because they're all asking to ride around in it all the time.

Looks are a beautiful thing.
