None of my dashboard gauges work!

None of my dashboard gauges work!

Postby leveetated » Sun Jun 03, 2007 7:48 pm

My car wouldn't start after a 4 day trip out of town, so I had it towed to a local Toyota dealer. They said it was a bad fuse & battery, replaced both. I picked up the car, and as I was driving away, I noticed none of my gauges worked. I returned, and they replaced a fuse, and the gauges worked.

Later that day, I started up my car, and once again, none of my gauges work. I have checked most of the recommended fuses but everything looks ok. Any ideas??

thanks all.

Sounds like some kind of electrical problem that needs to be diagnosed further by a professional.

Have you been lurking here for a while?

Yeah, I'm thinking it must be an electrical thing too. It's a 2004 Solara, with prior electrical problems (tire pressure gauge giving false positives). What an annoyance!!! (I have been lurking only for the last week or so, hoping to find another poster with a similar problem.) Thanks for the replies.

Well, I have not seen anyone post about a similar problem, but I have only been here for a little over a year. There are some other 04/05 owners here, so maybe they will know. What was the cause of your other electrical problems? Any warranty left (not sure when in 04 you bought or how many miles)?

You should post an intro and tell us a little about yourself and your Solara.

Great bunch here.

Nothing here with repeated blown fuses... although my tire pressure gauge seems to be giving some false positives lately (light comes on, and when I check the pressure, they're all within 1 psi of each other... reset the light, and it doesn't come back on for a few weeks... lather, rinse, repeat...)
