Just did a 800 miles trip with my '06 SLE V6, from socal to norcal. and here's my thought

- the car is nice and quiet even when cruising in the high 80's and gets a little noisy when approaching the triple digital (to make it legal on paper in CA, make those into km/h :p)

- the back seat is good for long distance (at least i heard no complain from the passenger in the back seat)

- turning off the fog light actually gives you a better vision at night when you don't actually need fog lights. (cause the foglight light up too much in the front and your eyes are not adapted to the less illuminated main beam at mid to far range?)

- the calcuated mpg on way up north is about 25.x mpg (though the display said something like avg low 29.x mpg). the calculated mpg is surprisingly high to be about 28.9 mpg (when the display remains to be high 29.x mpg) (3 passengers, packed lightly for the weekend, AC maybe 1/3 of the trip, mostly cruising in the numbers quoted above)

- the empty tank light lights up when the display said there are about > 20 miles range left (never ran it till empty :p )

- do your route homework and don't rely sololy on the navigation system, cause sometimes none of the 3 route selection are good choices

- the car is a good freeway cruiser (because of the long wheel base?), the steer is still numb, throttle and transmission still non-responsive, the soft suspension makes it a comfortable ride on the freeway

I travel with mine all the time and I get the ones who use to make fun of my car begging to ride in mine rather their "hondas"

I dont think this has ever been mentioned before on this forum but this is absolutely true. The foglight's purpose is to cut under weather so that you can see in fog or other vision-limiting weather conditions, and also so others can see you in the same conditions.

In clear conditions, it illuminates the road closer to you fully, and thus your pupils CONTRACT more since its brighter in the immediate area, and makes normal viewing distance harder to see. It also draws your attention to the immediate area rather than normal driving distance, but by the time an object is in your fog's areas, its too late to avoid an accident.

Also, on my Gen1, my orange gas light turned on when I had 2.5 galons left. (I filled up right after it turned on and it filled up 16 gallons flat. Gen1s had a 18.5 Gallon tank). That means I could have gone for another 75 miles hwy or so before I ran dry...Not sure if they changed this on the Gen2, maybe they give you more leeway on the mileage reader than you have in reality.

um brighter light makes your pupils get smaller not dialate? when you go and get your eyes dialated b a docotr your pupils get larger, or when you are in the absense of light. try it out. go in the athroom shut the lights and turn em on quick and look in the mirror. your pupils will go from big to small. or simply close your eyes and open them in the mirror.
