Yes you can buy it, but for the cost some say it is, I would rather do a whole different HID Projector retro on our Gen2....

what do you guys mean by retroing? don't we just replace our halogen bulb with a xenon bulb? we already have projector headlights. i just prefer oem hid becuase i don't trust after market hid brand.

I was thinking about upgrading the headlights in my 04 to the 07 HID. Once you have bought all of the parts and done the re-wiring to make things work, its going to cost several thousand dollars. I have an HID upgrade kit in my 04 and am very happy with it. I was parked next to a friend's 07 SE Sport last weekend (with OEM HID) and compared the headlights- mine have the same crisp cut off line that his 07 OEM hid does. The only thing that mine can't do is move up and down with the leveling system. Since seeing that, I have no desire to even try to switch my system to the 07.

Nice! Side-by-side comparison to confirm what we've always thought...

That little leveler and the new "eyebrows" are not worth a few k's...

wow, that's ridiculous. but i really like the leveling HID. that sounds neat. does it change angle for high/low beam?

The leveling is neat, I had it in my 03 Celica GTS with oem HID. It would move the low beam up and down a little bit. Honestly, I never used it, except for the wow factor when my friends were in the car. I have no idea how you would wire that function into a car wtihout all of the wiring systems.

I have a xenondepot kit and the light output (in my opinion) is way better than the OEM used in the solara.

that seems pretty useless. i was hoping it was like bi-xenon or something. i just like the design of the headlight better. i have no interest in the leveling. thanks, buddy.
