I usually just brush(tire brush/carpet brush, heavy duty brush) them with a degreaser/water mix. Bleach sounds dangerous, it could drip on your carpet and leave spots.

^^^ i agree. no need for something as stong as bleach. tire cleaner or dash cleaner or even water will work fine.

Yeah - no need to remove the pedals to clean them anyway... unless you're Howard Hughes or something ;)

I usually place newspaper as papermats and use a plastic bag to catch any water. Then with the tire/wheel cleaner brush and soap water i just brush off my pedals (while they are on the car). When all is dry, i follow thru with my detailer's liquid (to clean it and make it a shiney...but just don't make it over shine or spray in the middle - as you don't want your foot to skip the brake pedals). Come to think of it, i think i've only done this twice/three times. How often do you all clean yours?
