i was checking my cabin air filter to see how dirty it was and when i put it back together, the glove compartment door now drops like a rock when i open it??

before it had something that lowered the glove compartment door slowly...

can someone tell me what i did wrong?

on the right of the glove department, there should be like a stick kind of thing, did u forget to connect it back? ill try and take pics of it. dont know if this helps?

that is my problem...

i connected the stick to the box with the screw just like i found it [ i thought ] but it does not drop slowly like before...

That "stick" serves the same function as those pneumatic door closers do, so slowly close (or in the case of the glove box, open) the door. Sounds like your "stick" may be broken.

That is exactly right!!

i get the feeling it hooks to something inside the dash but i do not know how to get it hooked properly :x
