I was driving for approximately an hour. Got to my destination, ran in and right back out with car still running. I backed up, stopped, and put it in drive. When I hit the gas, it puttered for a second then stalled. Any idea what may have caused that??? I run premium gas in the car for mileage reasons. It has 36,000 miles currently, and for the most part haven't had any issues with the engine. I'll try changing my wires and plugs, but other than those, i can't think of an issue that I would have that would cause a random stall.

dont throw your money away on plugs and wires. i believe they are platinum plugs which cost a fortune and wires are good for 100000 miles. it must be something else like a little water in your gas or a clogged fuel filter. try some DRYGAS or some kind of fuel conditioner. with your mileage it couldnt be plugs and wires.
