is there a TSB for the slow throttle response ecm issue yet?

I'm trying a different dealer tomorrow (Sandy Springs Toyota) since Team was so bad...I've heard a lot of good things about them but they didn't seem to know about the farting sunroof (I have the TSB for it) and I want them to adjust the ECM too.

I also will have them look @ the rear deck rattle & the phantom tire pressure warnings.

Thanks

Well, if Sandy Springs' service department is like their sales, you won't have a problem.

I have an oil change in 400 miles and I'm going to try a different dealer. The dealer we have used for the last several years has become virtually useless for service. If I find a dealer that can fix my sunroof then I will have the left drift taken care of as well as possibly having the ECU reset.
Moved on to better things...

TSB# EG007-04 "Replacement of ECM for throttle response" addresses the problem in question here, but I'm not sure if it applies to the I-4, V-6 or both engines.

If anyone has TSB# EG007-04 I would really like to see a copy of it.
Thanks in advance.

I have that down as addressing the rear deck rattle...I'm bringing it to the dealer. I got SS002R-01 from alldata.com, but you have to pay to see them so I just looked up the titles.

I'm pretty certain that I have the correct TSB #.
"EG" is the prefix for "Engine" TSB's. But I also see the rear deck rattle TSB is also 007-04 but probably has the prefix of "NV" for Noise/Vibration.
I know its all a bit confusing, but anyway, if anyone has the TSB for the throttle response problem, that's the one I would really like to see.

Aha...so there is a method to the madness! Thanks for the explanation. I have a typed list of issues with TSB numbers for them...I'm sure that will make their day.

That one can't be it, and its from Sep 3rd last year, if i'm correct thats just a procedure on how to reset the ECU. By resetting such, the car would have to relearn your driving ability. If you have a heavy foot, the ECU adjusts to it.

As I don't think there is a TSB for such a case, the Solara runs on the same "drive-by-wire" as the Lexus ES330, and RX330.

EG007-04
TSB applicable on VIN#s before

4T1CA3#P*4U021575

Models with latter VIN#s have the update installed.

If ECM Circuit tests OK per repair manual procedure, replaced the ECM (PCM).

That's the jist of that TSB.

They reset the ECM and said nothing changed and that it has been referred to tech support. The throttle response seems to be much better in the limited drive I did going back to the office.

They have ordered a new moon roof, cable & slide assembly for my moon roof issue and a new rear deck. So far it appears they know how to listen. I like having a service consultant so I go to the same person each time; that is they way all dealers should operate.

Yeah, I have a service advisor as well. Thats the way it should be at most places. Especially if the dealer is a high-volume.

It's hard for high volume dealers... unless the appointments specify a certain consultant... our Lexus dealer does around 220 appointments + walk-ins each day. Our Toyota dealer does about 400 cars (including walk-ins) a day. Other dealers fear us. We have full time positions for positions that don't even exist (stuff advisors should do) lol
