I have not noticed any radio signal loss after my tint was applied. Radio signal seems to be fine for me. :lol:

i think tthe antenas got great power i can pick up radio stations with good brodcasting almost 2 hours outa the city

Sorry to hear that...keep your chin up man...stiff upper lip & all that stuff. Seriously. Even though I'm not really into customizing my ride, it is nice to see someone taking it to the level you are.

a tint job should not hinder the antenna.

however for tv antenna that may be somewhat true...

it's possible that they scratched the antenna when they put the tint in the rear window if they were careless.

I had the windows tinted and I read at tintdude.com before it was done that a metallic tint will degrade antenna performance. That's what happened to mine. Before tint the antenna was bad, after tint it's even worse. I mostly listen to CDs for that reason.

BTW, many black tints contain metal to reflect heat (the good ones anyway.)

I don't blame the tinter - he told me it's not uncommon when the antenna is in the glass. Depends a lot on the model car according to him.

Stations that came in pretty well before now suck. I am even considering (Someone stop me!) putting a VW type rubber antenna on the center of the rear roof. Thoughts?
