Going to pick up the new SLE

Going to pick up the new SLE

I'm leaving in about 10 minutes to pick up my absolutely red v6 sle!
I'm going to miss my 03 Altima SE v6 stick though. :(
The torque and speed is what i'll miss. It's a pretty raw car. cheap interior, lots of road noise. I'm ready for something more refined.
I'll post pics tomorrow. not that you all dont know what they look like.

Congrats! I felt the same way when I got rid of my 2002 Mustang GT. Even with the few problems I have, the Solara is so much better, nicer and more problem free than the Stang!

Well i got it! I went in there at 6pm and was on my way 2 HOURS LATER!!! Geez, it was like buying a house for christ sake. when i went to nissan for my last car it took all of 20 minutes. Anyway at about 8pm i was on the road. Its real nice. And for some reason my kids like this car. They hated the Altima. Maybe because the solara is red. My wife doesn't know i bought it yet. She went to some concert with her friends. David Cassidy of all people. When she pulls in the driveway it'll be staring her in the face. Lets hope she reacts in a positive way. I'll let you guys know what happens tomorrow along with some pics. I have to work tomorrow and sunday so i'll have no time to personalize my ride with some Yankees stuff, DAMN. Anyway I'm happy and i know it so i'll clap my hands. :multi:

Must be a Toyota thing to hold you in the dealer for over an hour while taking delivery. When I got my car it was a cash (check) deal and it took over an hour to finalize the purchase. The dealer, who had several days notice I was coming to pick the car up, had not even cleaned it.

i dont know if you guys got the same paper work but whats with the 12x 14 sheets of paperwork they used its like folding up a map geeesh.

I cant say i was picking up my car for an hour, but we did have to do some "stuff" eg total walk around of car looking for scratches bumps n dings wich i think is a good idea anyway. makes me feeel like they arnt trying to pull anything over my eyes.

Then they explain everything to you how the windows work the seats and the radio um ya thanks i did all taht on the test drive myself, but i know some dummies get into their car drive away and want the windows down and kieep hitting the door locks come back and say the windows dont work they just make large clicking sounds.

Then of course we have to take off your old plates from the car you are trading in and put them on your new solara.

oh ya and pay them too.

But anyway mr new solara guy welcome to the red sle club membership has its privledges

eg lots starring, lots o cop attention, looks exceptional after a wash ( especially in the winder) salt ewwwwwww.
