That's a wrap for me. I think I'm going to find a Miaxima forum and post how much I hate the looks of their cars. Why? Because I can. That was sarcasm for those who thought I was serious.

That would be funny, at least over there they just ignore you and let things go...... by the way it's MAXIMA! :D LOL

Yeah, I guess we can close this one, what do you guys think? I think we need to put this one behind us already.

Well, nobody's really insulting one another. Personally, I'm finding this thread entertaining, although it's definitely not going anywhere. In my opinion, Fotodad had a point with his original post in the Gen 1 forum, but it should have been let go at that. It was overkill to start another thread in the Gen 2 forum.

1. Age doesn't necessary relate to taste. It's all relative and depends on the individuals.
I've seen grandpas driving a bright red corvette & I've seen a 20yo driving a GS400. Doesn't mean a thing!
2. Poor sales? What's the cause? If it's the economy, maybe it'd be interesting to see the Accord Coupe market share over Solara?
AFAIK, Solara is never the bread & butter, unlike the Camry. Owners should feel good, they don't have hard times at the parking lots trying to find their own cars.
3. Or maybe this first batch of 2nd gen Solara has too many build problems, factory actually ramp down the production? This only mean good for the future buyers, hopefully QC will go up.

IMO:
* We all have different opinions. It's okay to sound off. What's not okay is to make remarks of certain things that can differentiate people (culture, age, sex, race, religion, rich/poor, etc.). Afterall we're all civilized people, we can life peacefully with our differences. We can talk about our opinions.

** This thread only shows that both generation owners love their cars. 1gen owner love their 1st gen and 2nd gen love their 2nd gen. Too bad sometimes love in the extreme become Fanaticism. I hate to think of the word "narcistic", I sincerely hope we're not like that.

Just my two cents.
I'm 29yo and I regret I compromised and bought this 04 SLE.
I should've bought an GS300 like I had planned all along.
(I didn't say that driving an expensive car make me feel important or rich. But this goes to show you that young people have "good" taste too -> according to older folks)

GS300 is a much nicer car than the 04. I had one for a year and loved it, until I went to the hood and it stolen. :(

i just wanted to say that you ppl should all stop bashing each other and return to bashing the car. to say that just cuz the majority of us are younger that its a bad thing. i have friends who are not even 25 that have lexuses, bimmers, etc......so it doesn't mean anything. i have to say for one that by the time i'm hitting middle age ill be rolling in an luxury car. so you ppl should go back to arguing bout the car since age means absoultely nothing. and be nice to the moderators, they have to read about our rantings.
