Crisp, in my opinion, in this recession you're not gonna get any extra moolah for the engine mods and trunk-quaking stereo you've installed--be it from the dealer or private buyer. Go the Pxl route and go back to stock if possible, sell/trade and get the TL. Although, I don't have any kids (?) I do see your point on getting a 4-door. I would just advise that if you were to move to a 4-door, don't let the TL lead you into tunnel-vision, see what else is on the market that catches your fancy.
