I dunno - maybe it was the Skip Barber classes I took years back in Portland Speedway, but I've never had a prob. yet - in either American or Foriegn autos.
My dad used to drive his AT like that... he had an American (Pontiac Grand Prix) and a 94 4cyl Toyota Camry that he drove like that... the Pontiac tranny died and he never fixed it... then the Toyota one he had rebuilt like 3 times...
IDK... just seems to me that brakes are easier to replace than a tranny... LOL
