I was going to attempt to remove the 'SOLARA' and COWBOY emblem, however there are two holes to fill for each emblem. Has any tried a do-it-yourself by using bondo? If so, what type of paint did you use to cover the holes?

I've already spoken with two bodyshops and one is wanting $650, for the entire trunk lid and the other is wanting $450, but he's only doing the bottom of the trunk lid.

They are only covering the 4 holes, they are not shaving the raised COWBOY emblem area.

I'm thinking that this is a too much but I know paint and labor does add up to those two price quotes.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Michael

That's way too much money to make the rear look a little better. Save your money for other options in the future I say.

I agree with you 100% slingshot. Thanks for the input. I'm gonna try the bondo on an old trunk lid at the junk yard or one of my buddies car for experiment and see how it looks before I try it on mine. Definitely don't want to FREAK up this baby. Wish me luck, lol.
