I agree. I do the exact same thing. But I know I'll get the itch to get a new car next spring... probably a Lexus. Why? I don't know. My Solara has been so good to me so far!

You ask why? Well, you suffer from what most of us car enthusiasts suffer from. It's known as "can never have enough" syndrome." Ok, so I made that up, but its true. They come out with so many new toys that having just one toy isn't good enough and never will. It's like video games. You can't wait to get Gran Turismo 3. You play it for hours. You look forward to playing it, you dream about it. You show all your friends. You completed eveything you could in the game. Then, you get bored. Gran Turismo 4 comes out. Now we start the cycle all over again. See what I mean. We will never be happy. The more we have, the more we want. Think about people who are less fortunate, who have lower aspirations. These people work their whole lives to get a brand new car. We here talk about getting brand new cars like they were a pair of sneakers we change every 6 mos. Sit back and realize how lucky we are and be grateful that we can have things some people only dream about and fgive their lives to having. I'm sorry, this turned out to be alittle more than I planned and went into a direction I didn't plan :D .

Again, I couldn't agree more. While this thread is getting off course, I like the direction it is taking. Certainly speaking for myself, I am pretty lucky to be able to purchase a new 2004 SLE V6 Solara. But I did work my butt off to get to a place where I could afford a car like this. However, it never hurts to stop, look around, and realize how fortunate I am.

Speaking of getting a new car, I mentioned a Lexus earlier. I'd like to get a 2005 GS (only if AWD). But I'm worried it will be huge money like the Acura RL.

It'll be big money PLUS your present car would have dropped in worth a pretty decent amount for tradein. Have to always remember that sad fact.
