i'm a solara newbie but here's my opinion, i've never liked the 1st Gen solara, reason i got a prelude(another coupe that got flamed when it first game out, why are the headlights like that?)

when the 2nd Gen solara first came out i didn't like it either, but when i saw the sport version on the toyota.com site i started drooling. I like how the front under-spoiler, side, and rear-apron makes it look aggressive. bottomline: if the solara didnt have a sport version i wouldn't have bought it...my two cents

Same here, I only bought a Solara because of the Sport version...and for the best bang for the buck out in the market: Toyota's reputation and 225 HP stock.

Sidenote: I was on the 5 last night, and I saw two white '04 SEs in the same lane back to back. An '04 sighting is rare.

I think the gen 1.5 is pretty cool look, but the gen 2 is just so much better; it flows like a hot cherry roadster from the back, a racing javalin from the front, and a mustang from the side. All the best in one frame.

Except for the stock wheels (which bite--I replaced them), I think the styling rivals the Lexus SC.

Designer of the Soarer (SC) = Designer of Solara =]

*No wonder they look the same* hahaha =P I call the Solara the "Poor Man's Soarer" =]
