Alarm too sensitive...Neighbors left a note..!

funny you should mention that. I actually tried to shake my car last night with it locked and it did not go off.

the alarm is toyota stock..i know this because of the toyota insignia on alarm mechanism on my keychain(on the bottom of it)

i dont know what would set it off to have my neighbor complain, but i'm starting to think that their complaints are unwarranted especially if the alarm was not mine.

I have to take the car to the dealership anyway, i want them to see why when i turn right i hear a rubbing noise from my left tire. and also the lean left issue.

Good Morning all,

my 2006 Solara SLE has a super sensitive alarm. Sometimes I park it near a busy street and from what my neighbors tell me, the slightest vibration on the car will set the alarm off.

Is there anyway to reduce the sensitivity of the alarm? I checked the owners manual but i couldn't find anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I complained to myself of the same thing. In my case, it ended up being a lose nut on one of the trunk connections. The qty of light blinks on the little red button confirmed it was the trunk being activated.

It was under warranty, but one loose nut was my problem.
