Do what you want. Everyone here will give you thier opinion but its your decision. You can look at the pros-- cost and uniqueness --- or the cons --- fiberglass and critisizm.

Either way I have asked questions how people would think this or that would look on my car and gotten negative responses. In the end I love some of the stuff I got even though everyone told me not to. Then again I've regretted getting stuff because I should have listened and ended up wasting money.

Speaking from soneone who had this kit on their car allready. I'm not sure what to say. I got it for my camry cause it was rare. In a land where everyone had the swift kit and the other one, the evo kit offered an extra set of points in the shows i would compeate in. But there was some real fitment/bodyline issues with it. It does make your bumper stick out about an extra 2 inches forward and it really catches a lot of wind. So when yourdriving with a strong headwind, you have to fight the car sometimes. Also, with it being made of fiberglass, fitment is an issue. Most fiberglass kits that aren't popular tend to be sitting in a warehouse for a while. This causes them to warp and gives the installer a hard time trying to get it to fit. I had to mount metal straps on the sides to pull them in, and this made the front middle bow. It also lowered the front of the car several inches and i was constantly scaping (with stock springs). These are a few things to consider when ordering a kit. I know it looks cool, but you need to think long term as something like this will most likely require more maintenence than the factory setup. But it's not all bad, those fog lights really light things up nice.

I've included a few picstogive you a "real world" idea of what it's gonna look like on a similar car.

SMAN and BadAngel both make good points.

when it comes down to it, asking that question on these forums will 99/100 times yield this end result: a bunch of people saying that it's ugly, and then a handful of people saying either 1) it's up to you, or 2) it's alright.

when it comes down to it, it's going to be more expensive (as per the analysis from BadAngel), and it may not even fit well (most solaraguys don't support the evo body kit, so think about how long most of those vehicle specific kits have been sitting in the warehouses, as per the SMAN analysis).

sure it'll be different/unique, but the SG general consensus is that the stock solara lines (aesthetic aerodynamics of the car) are very clean and sexy, without the addition of an over-the-top body kit.

to me (and most), the TRD kit is still the seksiest thing you can put on a lara to accentuate the lines. then again, the TRD kit is a lip kit, and not a full on body kit. but like i said, i think the solara is pretty good lookin on its own.

but then ... i feel compelled to say "it's your car to do what you want with"

...so i'll just say, if you DO end up getting the evo kit...thanks for making my lara looking a little bit better :-P

I hope where you live it is very very flat with few potholes then. The evo kit lowered the front lip on my car by allmost 3 inches.

I must warn you though, if you don't have thick skin and you post pics here, people will be brutally honest with their opinions about how your car looks with the kit. If you don't care and are just proud of the work you've done, then go for it and post 'em afterwards, but like I said... consider yourself warned. ;)
