Wheel and tire upgrade

Postby anwagbo3000 » Sat May 31, 2008 9:10 am

^ really, my rims were purchased from discount tire direct, so when i purchase the rest of my rims from them, they recommend 18's in the 225 size, and the tires i was looking at were 117 a piece by falken

but i will look around and see if i can find 235's for my wheel specifications

I'm runnin' a 225 40 18. I didn't buy the rims through discount tire but bought my tires through them. I don't have rubbing issues at all, unless loaded with people.

I do enjoy the Nitto 555's. I was abit suprised on how well they cut through water. However for snow... yea I strongly advise a stock rim/winter tire combo.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... e+Position

I consider these to be EXCEPTIONAL tires in all the respects that you are seeking. Around $150ea., they are not the cheapest, nor the costliest, however, they perform very well, ride fantastic, and are QUIET!!!!!

Tread wear is even, and wet traction is superior, with no planing at 80, 90, and even triple digits, under heavy rain.

If you want a QUALITY tire, this should be a consideration.

Good luck!
