^nothing special. I replaced them with the same that came on the car, Bridgestone Turanza EL400. I really like them, so I figured since I knew how they'd run and act on our very wet roads here, I'd be safe and get what I knew would work.

I shopped around, and I found two places with the lowest prices; Discount Tire and a Firestone store. Discount Tire didn't have any and they were only a few dollars cheaper, so I just went to Firestone. $94 of that price was the road hazard warranty, which I figured was not too bad and better safe than sorry.

These tires are have some new features from the originals that I had on there. There's some kind of noise deadening feature and they have some compound on them that is supposed to help in rain.

I have yet to test the wet driving, but I have to say that they are much quieter than the originals. I didn't think it would be much of a difference, but I can tell.

It's amazing how nice new tires feel!

I guess I could have driven on the donut for a while longer to wait for Discount Tire, or tried some different tire, but I figured I stay conservative and don't like driving around here with a donut.
