2007 Solara SLE V6

I'll vouch for the "non-standard" VSC and TC - The black on black SLE I was first looking at didn't have it - then the Lunar Mist/black caught my eye and it did! :)

Just went on Edmunds, this is for my area, NE. Solara 2007SLE, V6 with vs and tc. List is $28,175, invoice is $25,393. This includes no shipping or taxes and no other options. Think you looked too fast at listing, you can also click for 2006 price and may have noticed that first.

Hello ItalianRN,

I bought 2005 Toyota Solara SLE V6 Coupe, with STC and TRC, side and curtain air bags for $25,500 OTD. I used $400 Student Graduate Discount, and they had excellent APR of 1.9% for 48 months.
I bought the car in February, 2005 from Carmax.com (Chicago Area). Carmax has two Toyota Dealers for new cars - in Chicago Area and Washington D.C. Area. The car was brand new with 8 miles on ODO.
I used to live in South Carolina, so my sales tax was only $300.
I hope this information helps, buy you can negotiate invoice price with the "right" dealer. It is not easy to find the right one....

Good luck

P.S.
They have one 2007 Toyota Solara SLE V6 Coupe Titanium/Stone with Navigation system for $27,468 No Haggle price before taxes... in Chicago Carmax right now.

The car should not sell for more than $26,000 (on the high end) before taxes and licensing. Even three months after the 2nd generation was released, SLE V6 Coupes with VSC/TRAC/CURTAIN/Spoiler were selling for $26k before tax. Demand has not increased for the coupe; the coupe has not sold well whereas the convertible has been popular. Use this fact to your advantage.
Moved on to better things...

Price On My 06 SLE V6

Postby red2002solara » Wed Oct 11, 2006 8:05 am

Hey Italian,

In April I bought a new 06 Solara SLE V6 here in Scottsdale Arizona. The car came with tinited windows (a must in Phoenix), traction control, and VSC. I paid $26,015 for the car. All the dealerships quoted me the same price (went through fleet).

I tried to order through fleet & this was their response:

"Unfortunately, all vehicle sales even fleet sales must go through a Toyota dealership. If you need any assistance with a local dealer please let me know."

I'd like to say "Thanks" to everyone. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I really want the Solara but I'm not going to pay $28 + for it. I should be able to get what I'm looking for for $26 +. The only additional option I want is the VSC & TRAC & I was told that it only adds about $600 more to the price tag.

I'm so disappointed. I think I'm just gonna call dealerships & tell them on the phone exactly what I want & get a price from them. I'm not driving all over Florida. I'm also going to try to look up inventory in the other areas of the country. Maybe they have the car I want in Iowa or someplace.

Thanks again.

I want the Solara SLE V6 Coupe (Automatic)

Magnetic Gray / Dark Stone Leather Interior

The only OPTIONS I want to add are:

Vehicle Stability Control with Traction Control ($650)
Carpet & trunk mats (5) ($199)

The problem I'm having is that there aren't any Magnetic Gray/Dk Stone with VSC & TRAC in the 5 Southeastern States. They told me that it must be done at the factory because it can't be added on.

I decided to get the Alloy Wheel locks & the tint after I buy the car, thanks to the advice I received on this site.

Everything else I want is actually Standard on the car. I didn't think it would be difficult to buy a car. This stinks.

Thanks for the help. Hope you're more successful than I've been.

I just went to Toyota.com and looked up the SE Toyota dealers. There are a few in the color combination you want, but none with VSC/TRAC. You may have to wait, or settle for a different color.

You can always try to find a nice salesperson to tke your name and number and call you when one comes in that you want.

There was not one single V6 under $27.5K in the entire SE...good luck.

Seems like you can't look through entire inventory in other parts of the country. I tried some other zip codes, but no inventories came up.

The Toyota Dealerships are broken into 5 Regions Nationally. I am going to contact one dealership in each of the remaining 4 regions & have them check their database for the car I want. If one of them has it, I would fly there & drive it back. If not, I'll go to a local dealership & order it.

I tried to look up the inventory in other parts of the country, but I couldn't do it either. Thanks for trying.

I think the Magnetic Gray might be more popular up North so I contacted a dealership in Brooklyn, N.Y. If they have one in their database my friend can go look at it for me.

Picking up a new car would be a great reason to go back home for a couple of days.

By flying to pick up the car, you are adding to the price that you were worried about. Plus, you'd better look into FL lae before you buy form another state. You may get stuck paying sales tax in NY and FL.

I diasagree...buying new gets you the new technology that you may not be able to get in a used car. If you want the new tech now, new is the only way to go...especiall items that can't be added aftermarket...
