For your application you will use a yellow top deep cycle battery because of the high power stereo system. The yellow top to best fit your Solara is the D35.

thanks for the responses guys...i didnt know there were diff types of optima yellow tops? [D35]? must be the size it comes in?

Yes, the Yellow Tops come in several sizes / layouts.

Here's a good link on info for optima batteries, ive been looking into it. Its $150 for a yellow top and no handling charges, doesnt sound to bad. At Autozone its over $200.

I just got a Stinger SP1000 for my car. I looked at the optimas but compared to the Stinger specs , the stinger was much better. got it for about 165 and now its finding the time to put it in.
Alpine + Dynaudio = Sonic bliss.

I went to a Pep Boys nearby my home and they didnt have any Optimas that fit my car so I picked up a Duralast Gold for $75. So far its working beautifully even when I'm bumping my system. Thanks for the recommendations guys!

Went to Pep boyz today and they didn't have it in, they even tried fitting the 34 lol the idiots . It didn't work..... :cry:
